Please be advised that a new release (D114) of the HERE Location Services is now available on the Production environment (PRD).
This email includes release notes that describe the improvements to the services in the new release. This release includes updates of: HERE Geocoding and Search, Routing API, Vector Tiles API, Public Transit API, Intermodal Routing API, Maps API for JavaScript, Geocoder API, Geocoder Autocomplete API, Fleet Telematics API, HERE SDK for Android and iOS, Map Data for Mobile SDK and HERE Mobile SDK UI Kit.
The release highlights are:
- Launch of HERE Location Services on Platform on HERE developer portal.
- Launch of first HERE Location Services on Platform in Japan
- Fleet Telematics API extends Toll Cost support to Australia, adds new features related to custom geometry layers and other enhancements.
- Release on the new HERE SDK 4.2.1.0 Lite and Explorer Editions.

HERE Location Services on Platform
- The following HERE Location Services on Platform are available on the developer.here.com: Geocoding and Search v7, Routing API v8, Vector Tiles API v2, Public Transit v4 and Intermodal Routing v2.
- HERE Location Services coming to Japan. Already available Geocoding & Search, Routing and Vector Tile Service.
HERE Geocoding and Search
Version 7
We are pleased to state that with this release, HERE Geocoding and Search is Generally Available on both the HERE Platform and developer.here.com and provides coverage across most parts of the world, with the exception of China and South Korea. Japan is currently available only to those customers licensed to HERE Platform Workspace.
HERE Geocoding and Search provides the following capabilities and benefits:
- Increased POI coverage
- Daily high-priority data updates
- Capabilities to add your own data sets to your search-based application (available only to those customers licensed to HERE Platform Workspace)
- Places Geocoding: The Geocode endpoint now recognizes and utilizes POI names to increase precision.

Routing API

- Added duration and baseDuration to vehicle span in response.
- Added baseDuration to the vehicle summary in response.
- Added exclude request parameter supporting excluding coutries.
- Extended the documentation of error codes returned by the service.

Vector Tiles API

The HERE Vector Tile Service allows you to request tiles containing vector data using content from the HERE Platform.

Public Transit API

Public Transit offers three REST APIs that allows you to use agency data, external services and data collected by HERE to discover public transit options, request public transit routes and transit-related information.

Maps API for JavaScript
Version 3.1.12.0
- The display of the map features: borough, district, village, hamlet and neighborhood was improved in order to increase label density.
- We added the Japan-specific map style (applicable for the core layer of the Vector Tiles API).
- H.Map#getObjectsWithin allows to request the objects (polygons, polylines, markers) within the designated map area.
Fleet Telematics API
Version 3.0.28
- Toll Cost for Australia
- Environmental Zones with License Plate regulations
License plate registration ids are taken into account. On certain days only even/odd numbers are allowed (e.g. in Jakarta), or on certain weekdays only numbers ending with 1,2 are allowed (e.g. in Mexico-City).
- Usage preference for private roads
- Arrival time routing together with toll cost calculation/optimization
- Custom roads overlay uploads tolerating & reporting errors. It will still allow to upload a working part of the changes. The failing change operations are reported in the
issues
section of the response.
HERE SDK for Android and iOS (Lite Edition)

HERE Mobile SDK User Interface (UI) kit
Version 2.1.4
This is a HERE SDK 3.14 integration release.
Major changes and features:
Android
- Tested with the HERE SDK 3.14 release
- Fixed minor issues
- Upgrade to Gradle 6.0
- Added RoutingError param in BaseGuidancePresenter handleRerouteFailed() because of changes in HERE SDK 3.14
- Updated project dependencies
iOS

• Please use production environment for evaluation
• CIT will be ramped down by end of Q2/2020!
In case you still use CIT, please move to production as only there we can guarantee fully scalability and availability of the services.
